WALL-E ist eine mitreißende Komödie über einen kleinen, liebenswerten Roboter. Hunderte einsame Jahre lang hat WALL-E das gemacht, wofür er hergestellt wurde: Müll sortieren und zu kleinen Würfeln pressen. Als er eines Tages die atemberaubende Roboterdame EVE trifft, entdeckt er einen ganz neuen Sinn im Leben (vom Krimskrams-Sammeln mal abgesehen). EVE hingegen muss feststellen, dass WALL-E zufällig über die Lösung gestolpert ist, wie man die Erde retten kann. Sie wird in ihre Heimat, oben im All, zurückgepfiffen, um Bericht zu erstatten. Denn die Menschen an Bord des Luxus-Raumschiffs Axiom erwarten sehnsüchtig die Nachricht, dass es ungefährlich ist, nach Hause zurückzukehren. Währenddessen folgt WALL-E seiner Angebeten nach und setzt so eine der unglaublichsten Romantikkomödien in Gang, die die Leinwand je gesehen hat.
