zugemuellte Erde vom Dreck zu befreien. Die Menschen,
mittlerweile laengst in den Weltraum gefluechtet und
auf monstroesen Vergnuegungsschiffen havariert,
sind fett, beinahe bewegungsunfaehig, technikabhaengig
und kaum mehr Herr ihrer Sinne. Der einsame Wall-E hat
im Gegensatz dazu eine echte Persoenlichkeit entwickelt,
ist ungeheuer neugierig und sehr lernbegierig.
Sein einziger Freund ist die Kakerlake Hal,
die ihm in seiner kleinen Behausung, wo er liebevoll
Kleinkram sammelt, Gesellschaft leistet. Eines Tages
taucht der weibliche Druid Eve
(Extra-terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator) auf und
findet bei Wall-E genau das, was die Menschheit zur
Rueckkehr auf die Erde benoetigt: eine kleine Pflanze,
