From a multiroom artist's loft for you bohemian types to a luxury apartment (complete with butler) for the divas, your Sims can now enjoy the joys and headaches of this new, more urban lifestyle. 





Tucked away in a house, my Sims always had some reason to not socialize too much with the outside world. In an apartment, though, privacy's almost impossible -- the Sims next door always party too loud (hence the "Bang on Wall" command), the landlord comes for the rent and repairs, housemates are excruciatingly stinky, and so on. On the other hand, the company can be pretty nice, especially since a social-networking system can get your Sims ahead in their careers if they know the right people. One of those new careers is to become a witch, with both good and evil sides to choose from. Going the evil route's trickier, however, as this expansion also adds a new Reputation meter, which affects your interactions with other Sims around town. Some hooligans may long for a bad rep, but, in general, Sims want to be liked -- and if you keep them happy and polite, that's pretty easy to achieve. So, even though this expansion doesn't change Sims' basic needs much, having more friends helps you way more in the long run than in previous editions of the game.
