When partners Sherry Steele and Lee Burkhart moved into their Seattle, Washington home, they discovered an abused pit bull abandoned in the backyard. Sherry and Lee worked with Buddy to overcome his fears and helped him to join their existing pack of three other dogs. But Buddy is extremely human aggressive, and there is often no warning when he lunges toward humans. He aims for the face and neck and chest area, and has bitten some people. Although Sherry and Lee like challenges, they feel they are at a standstill with Buddy and need Cesar to help them learn to control Buddy's aggressiveness. In the next story we meet Dr. Paula Terifaj, who opened the doors of Founders Veterinary Clinic in Brea, CA over twenty years ago. She has always been willing to help out rescue organizations and about three years ago, she took in a few injured dogs. One of them was Rufus, a rottweiler shar-pei mix. Rufus arrived at the clinic with a bad case of demodectic mange. After a few months of good care his health was much better, but his temperament had completely changed. He growled at strangers, bit another dog, and would spin around in circles when someone new approached him. He's even lunged at people in the office and on walks. The staff at the clinic fear that Rufus will have to be euthanized if they can't get his aggression under control. Dr. Terifaj's dream is for Rufus to be adopted into a loving home, but right now that doesn't seem possible. Can Cesar help the doctor and her staff turn Rufus' bad behavior around
