ENGLISH INTRO:

In 1995 the Wehrmacht-Ausstellung was moved to Vienna (Austria) 

to tell the story of the German Army's involvement in war crimes 

and atrocities against humanity during World War II in Eastern 

Europe. 

The documentary "Jenseits des Krieges - East of War" shows 

discussions and statements by visitors of the exhibition. Some 

of them reject the exhibition as a general condemnation of the 

German Army and all its soldiers, others state that they saw 

crimes as depicted. 

After a lot of criticism some of which was scientificly well 

founded the exhibition was revised.

DEUTSCHE BESCHREIBUNG: 

1995 kam die Wehrmacht-Ausstellung nach Wien (Oesterreich) um die 

Geschichte von der Beteiligung der deutschen Armee an Kriegsver-

brechen und Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit waehrend des 2. 

Weltkriegs in Osteuropa zu erzaehlen. 

Der Dokumentarfilm "Jenseits des Krieges" zeigt Diskussionen und 

Aussagen von Besuchern der Ausstellung. Manche von ihnen lehnen 

die Ausstellung als Pauschalverurteilung der Wehrmacht und ihrer 

Soldaten ab, waehrend andere angeben, Verbrechen wie die in der 

Ausstellung beschriebenen selbst gesehen zu haben.
