Available in late 2001, Incoming Forces is the sequel to the multi-million unit selling, award winning and critically acclaimed Incoming--an action/strategy game in which the player takes on the role of head of an alien defence force.





Set 20 years after the original, Earth has now discovered the secret of sustainable long-distance space travel. Their forces are gathered and seeking to destroy all hostile planets, in particular four alien worlds in a small distant galaxy. Your task is to defend these planets at all costs.





Incoming Forces features over 150K multi-textured triangles per frame, and utilizes the Vertex and Pixel Shaders of the GeForce3 nfiniteFX engine for the landscape, by combining the base texture and the detail texture with dynamic cloud texturing. Vertex Shaders are used to create a propagated morph effect, and dynamic cube map rendering is used by a Pixel Shader to create per-pixel, bump reflection mapping (also known as Blinn reflection).
