In the wake of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre the Federal government forms an elite squad of special agents to try and take down the criminal empire of Al Capone. This squad is headed up by Eliot Ness who staffs it full of men with outstanding records who refused to be intimidated by force or cowed by bribes. This squad, nicknamed "the Untouchables" by the media carries the fight to the criminal empire of Capone
First televised as a two-part episode of the Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse in April 1959, The Untouchables was later combined into one seamless version for movie theaters titled "The Scarface Mob." Here, accompanying this movie version are the Desi Arnaz and Walter Winchell introductions that preceded parts one and two of the original Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse broadcast.
