Effectively wipe all or part of your hard drive with this well-designed program. Stellar Wipe's clean, informative interface makes it easy for novices to pick up the program. Simple icons are combined with helpful tooltips and explanation dialogs to help users choose the right file or drive-space wipe. Experienced users might wish for less information and a few ho-tkey shortcuts.





Stellar Wipe includes the usual wipe functions. You can quickly clear out a drive's unused space or wipe the entire drive in a few minutes. We found most useful the options to clear select program traces from your hard drives. The program offers three trace delete options: Internet Activity, System Traces, or Application Traces. Each has preset items to wipe. You can select which to wipe, but you can't add new application traces to delete. The utility does have a very useful function to let you manage a list of user-selected folders and files to wipe with the click of a button.





Stellar Wipe excels by offering any of a dozen user-selected wiping algorithms along with an easily-set scheduler. Powerful enough for most intermediate users, this wipe utility is especially friendly to novice users. However, the stingy nine-use demo will leave most users wishing for a better opportunity to test this program.
