Codename: Overlord, die einhergehende Operation war ein enormes Risiko. Der Überraschungsmoment konnte dadruch gewonnen werden, dass man durch ein kompliziertes Intrigenspiel der deutschen Führung vorgaukelte, dass die Invasion nicht in der Normadie stattfände, sondern bei Calais. Diese Dokumentation erzählt die Geschichte der Normadie-Invasion und beinhaltet seltenes Filmmaterial in Farbe aus George Stevens-Collection der Kongress-Bibliothek.
