Nick Hume ist erfolgreicher Geschäftsmann und liebender Familienvater. Eines Nachts wird sein Sohn bei einem Raubüberfall getötet. Der Mörder ist Anführer einer Straßengang und wird wenig später von der Polizei geschnappt. Obwohl dem Mörder der Prozess gemacht wird kann John das Urteil nicht als gerecht empfinden. Zu groß ist der Schmerz des Verlustes. John beschliesst das Gesetz selbst in die Hand zu nehmen. Kevin Bacon ist einfach brillant in diesem knall harten, sehr realistischen Gewaltdrama .Erwähnenswert ist auch John Goodmans Performance ( Mega fiese) einfach genial. Also ein must have, besonders für Leute die CRANK und Running scared gefallen hat .
