Wenige Tage vor ihrem 21. Geburtstag fährt Hannah aus Los Angeles in die Provinz nach Nebraska, um ihre leibliche Mutter aufzusuchen, welche sie bei ihrer Geburt in die Obhut von Pflegeeltern gab. In dem kleinen Ort Gatlin stt Hannah ausschließlich auf Kinder und Jugendliche, die auf ihre Ankunft bereits vorbereitet scheinen. Es stellt sich heraus, dass Hannah das erstgeborene Kind einer gefährlichen Satanistensekte ist und nun die Mutter einer kommenden Superrasse werden soll. Da ihr dazu jegliche Lust fehlt, kommt es zum ernsten Konflikt mit dem Kultführer.
