Set aside all memories of the Hitchcock film, this is the original Daphne du Maurier story, set in Cornwall, and as creepy, sinister and threatening as the flocks of murderous birds that silently gather in the hedgerows and trees.



Neil Dudgeon plays Nat, a former military man who is now eking out a living, getting farm work where he can. He does not want to be part of society any more after his experiences in the Second World War and has moved his wife and daughter from London to an isolated Cornish cottage.



Nat knows that something is going horribly wrong when garden and sea birds start a kamikaze campaign against his home. But this is just the beginning of the nightmare and the terror is built up in layers as dense as a bird's nest until the full force of the winged ones' revenge on mankind is revealed.

You'll never look at a seagull again without wondering what it's plotting.
