In the spring of 1974, the Moody Blues announced their break-up. Drummer Graeme Edge immediately joined with his long-time friend, guitarist/songwriter Adrian Gurvitz, and formed The Graeme Edge Band featuring Adrian Gurvitz. Gurvitz had previously done duty as lead guitar/vocals for The Gun and the Baker-Gurvitz Army (Gurvitz and Ginger Baker's band). The Graeme Edge Band released it's first album, Kick Off Your Muddy Boots, in the fall of 1975. The band released another album, Paradise Ballroom, in 1976.
