The Crying Ladies are professional mourners of Manila’s Chinatown. The

street smart women each have their own unique story: Stella (Sharon

Cuneta) dreams of a better job to be able to get back custody of her young

son (Julio Pacheo); Doray (Hilda Koronel) now a bit player whose life now

revolves around her glory days of her "B" movie career; and naïve,

religious Choleng (Angel Aquino) cannot resist the sexual advances of her

friend’s husband. In Crying Ladies, these three women each emerge

victorious in many little ways that make up real life. The movie is a

heart-warming tale that will move you from tears to laughter.
