Das Attentat vom 20. Juli 1944



"Die kriegen alle noch mal ein Denkmal, das sind die einzigen entschlossenen Leute gewesen, die haben gesehen, in welches wahnsinnige Unglck wir weitergefhrt werden." General Dietrich von Choltitz zollte in britischer Gefangenschaft jenen Männern Respekt, die am 20. Juli 1944 das Attentat auf Hitler gewagt hatten - die dort angefertigten Abhörprotokolle bezeugen aber auch die andere Sicht: "Dass so etwas auf keinen Fall gemacht werden darf", stand etwa fr den Trent Park-Insassen Major Viebig fest. Er beharrte darauf, "dass man als Soldat seinem obersten Kriegsherrn auf alle Fälle gehorchen muss."
