H2O is a Canadian political drama two-part miniseries that first aired on the CBC Television October 31, 2004 starring Paul Gross and Leslie Hope with Belinda Stronach making a cameo appearance in the film. Written by Paul Gross and John Krizanc and directed by Charles Binamé, it was nominated for five Gemini awards and four DGC Craft Awards. It won one Golden Nymph award for best actor (Paul Gross.)





When the Prime Minister of Canada is found dead in a Quebec river, his son, Tom McLaughlin (Paul Gross), takes over his job bent on finding the reason of his father's death. Meanwhile, the United States' water supply has nearly dried out due to over-pumping. Tom accepts the President's plan to divert part of the Great Lakes to help Canada's southerly neighbours. However, Sgt. Leah Collins (Leslie Hope) and Member of Parliament Marc Lavigne (Guy Nadon) slowly piece together a conspiracy that threatens Canada's existence.
