The following instructions are for the EU Collector Edition and the patches are exclusively for that version.





Securom has created much difficulties installing updates and thereby getting the multiplayer option operational.  Daemon Tools also has it's problems.  Here's what I recommend:





01. Uninstall Daemon Tools and Heroes of Might and Magic V on your computer.


02. Run ccleaner to ensure no registry entries are left behind.


03. Run SPTDinst-v162-x86.exe (or -x64.exe for 64 bit OS).


04. Create an account at http://www.disc-soft.com/login


05. Install either Daemon Tools Pro or Lite using the created account info, don't start it.


06. Unzip YASU_1.6_9040.zip and move YASU.exe into C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Pro


07. Run YASU from the Daemon Tools folder, select CLOAK option and minimize window.


08. Start Daemon Tools, mount Heroes of Might and Magic V and install it.


09. Run the patches in order: 1.04, 1.041, 1.05, 1.06.


10. Unrar unl-h515.rar directly into the bin folder at C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V Collector Edition\bin ("\Program Files (x86)" for 64 bit OS).


11. Unmount from Daemon Tools and run the game.





Note: the game will show version 1.5 because of the no-DVD hack, but it's updated fine and multiplayer LAN works.
