Close Combat was founded in 2002 where they played in Maastricht' former hardrockcafe 'de Gaaspiep'. They are inspired by bands 


like Cockney Rejects. In 2004 their first (mini)cd was released by Rebellion Records called 'Viva Mestreech' (added the cover). The cd 


consisted out of 5 tracks and 4 of them in the Maastricht language (mainly about Dutch footballclub MVV Maastricht). 


In 2006 this cd was released by Bandworm Records and has 12 new songs.
