The Stampede is a two piece band from Adelaide, with R M on vox/guitar/keyboards and T T on guitar/keyboards/vox, who originally met in high school in Perth, Western Australia.





Mixing a blend of effected guitars, keyboards and subtle rhythms, The Stampede have developed a beautifully dark, trance-inducing, self-titled debut. 





"When we first started writing and recording (the album), we both were aiming for a more 'minimalist' approach", confides lead vocalist Richard. "We wrote the songs with a lot of repetition, trying not to be limited by song structure or length. I don't think we are a bandin the atypical sense. The focus is not really on the subject matter of the songs, or even us playing them, so much as the experience of listening to them and wandering with it. That idea of freedom is really appealing to us."
