È l'anno 2047. Anni addietro la nave spaziale Event Horizon era scomparsa senza lasciare tracce. Ora il suo segnale è stato individuato e il Comando Aereospaziale degli Stati Uniti ha risposto. A lanciarsi alla ricerca della fonte del segnale è un impavido capitano, un equipaggio scelto e il costruttore della nave spaziale perduta. La loro missione: trovare e recuperare i resti della super tecnologica astronave. Ma quel che trovano nello spazio li lascerà senza fiato, intrappolati in una nuova dimensione del terrore. Da quel momento la loro unica missione è riuscire a sopravvivere.
