Tira (M. West), attrazione da circo, sfugge a un'imputazione di omicidio, va in società e porta in tribunale, per rottura di promessa, Mr. Clayton (C. Grant, l'unico uomo insensibile al suo fascino). Sfilano in aula i suoi ex amanti per dare testimonianza sul suo cattivo carattere, ma lei si accontenta di provare al giudice che sono peggiori di quel che lei era. Scritto da M. West, 1° dei suoi 8 film interpretati negli anni '30, è forse la sua commedia più divertente e sicuramente quella di maggior successo. Si disse che riportò in pareggio il deficit della Paramount. Distribuito prima che si fosse costituita la Legion of Decency, propone alcune delle più caustiche battute della formosa diva. Lui: “Sei una donna per un uomo solo”. Lei: “Uomo solo per volta”.
