On the heels of their 2010 Reunion, MegaPlatinum offers the debut album by Drag Citizen. This NYC band was short lived but made a significant impact on the NYC Rock and Roll Scene. In 2004, the band hit it's peak, recording what was to be it's only album, You Can Thank Us Later. The dual guitars of lead vocalist Nick Vivid and lead guitarist Richie White, the thunderous bass pounding of a man named Blitch, and the tasty chops of drummer Steve Asbury are heavily inspired by the work of Kiss, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Motley Crue, and Thin Lizzy. The band exemplified the street glam look and had fans in those circles, yet were accepted by the punks as well, mostly due to the aggressive attitude that layered their sound and performances. 





Blitch and Steve left the band in 2005, leaving Nick and Richie to carry on for 2 more years with a 3 piece lineup that also recorded 1 EP. However, this is the version of the band that is considered by many as the classic lineup. Blitch and Steve are now located in Los Angeles. Nick and Richie live in NYC. The band has plans to reform for a special gig at NYC's famous Continental in January of 2010, which is a special occasion for the club as well. Continental hasn't hosted a live concert since 2006.
