Imaginar su muerte le da de repente un nuevo significado a su vida, a la vida de otras personas e, incluso, a la vida de toda la ciudad. Vendedores de fruta y verdura, una mujer que regenta una panadería, un trabajador social, una bailarina, un arquitecto, un sin techo, un profesor de universidad, una modelo, un inmigrante ilegal de Camerún… Todas estas personas tan diferentes se unen en esta ciudad y en esta película. Se podría pensar que estas personas no tienen nada de especial, pero para cada uno de ellos su vida es única. Se podría pensar que sus problemas no importan, pero para ellos son las cosas más importantes del mundo.
