***deadhead note*** Dickie Peterson of the Blue Cheer Died this morning.  I found this out as I was posting this show up, very sad stuff.  If you don't know the Blue Cheer, these guys are credited with being the first band to ever play heavy metal.  Great stuff.  RIP Dickie!

This recording is previously uncirculated. In addition to Dickie Peterson on bass, this show also features founding member Paul Wahley on drums, as well as longtime guitarist Duck MacDonald. It was certainly great to see these guys back together and touring the US again! Not a cheap nostalgia cash-in type of reunion by any means, the band was charged, the audience was stoked, and this is reflected in the performance. Note that the Vincebus Eruptum album was played in it's entirety! For any Pentagram fans, Bobby Liebling was in attendance at this show, and Dickie gives him a shout out in one of the song introductions. I was a little slow on the trigger finger at this show, so the audio starts exactly on the opening note, and the video dosen't start until 2 minutes into the show (black screen for the first 2 mins). Whether this legendary band appeals to you because they were one of the original west coast psychedelic bands, or because they were one of the original


heavy metal pioneers, they're still smokin', and hopefully will continue to rock for a long time to come! Enjoy!
