Pixie Lott [born Victoria Louise Lott on January 12th 1991in Bromley, Greater London] is an English singer/songwriter and actress, signed to Mercury Records in the UK and Interscope in the U.S. She lives in Essex with her father, who is a stock broker, and her mother, a housewife, she has an older brother and sister. Her mother gave her the nickname Pixie because she was a "tiny, cute baby" who looked like a fairy. During her time as a student she appeared in the West End production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium, and in BBC One's Celebrate the Sound of Music as Louisa von Trapp. At the age of fourteen she was part of the chorus line, recording vocals on Roger Waters's opera Ca Ira. She released her debut single, 'Mama Do [Uh Oh, Uh Oh]', on June 8th 2009. It entered both the iTunes chart and UK Singles Chart at No.1 after over 50,000 sales. Lott was quoted as being shocked at the success of the single. The song was also recorded in Simlish for Electronic Arts' The Sims 3.





'Turn It Up' is the debut album by English singer/songwriter Pixie Lott, released in the United Kingdom on September 14th 2009 by Mercury Records. Two singles have been released from the album, 'Mama Do [Uh Oh, Uh Oh]' and 'Boys And Girls', both of which have become UK chart-toppers. The album debuted at No.6 on the UK Albums Chart.
