In A Cabin With started in 2005 as an initiative by Maarten Besseling, who invited his good friend and producer Jesse Beuker to join the team in 2008.





In general In A Cabin With is about a collaboration between musicians internationally on a very special location. Every two months In A Cabin With is inviting one or more Dutch musicians to travel to a beautiful spot somewhere in the world to write, produce and record an album in collaboration with local musicians, in 10 to 14 days. This location could be a farmhouse in Sweden, a big wooden house just outside Chiang May Thailand, an appartment in New York or a church in Ottawa Canada.





All the recorded material will be mixed and mastered in The Green Motel studio in Utrecht and/or L.ParkWay Studios in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. For the album artwork we always invite a upcoming artist and/or graphic designer to design something exciting.


After mastering and finishing the album artwork the records are fully available, as a FREE download, on our website www.inacabinwith.com. The actual CD’s will be released and distributed by one of BeNeLux biggest distribution companies V2 music, and are also orderable at our website.





Until now the location(s), the inspiration and the isolation of these recording session made it possible to make some fantastic albums. Even though all the music styles differ per album (from jazz, metal to electro) they are all well worth listening to. They all had a lot of very positive reviews in almost all the Benelux newspapers and (online) music magazines and some of them even reached USA and Canada blogs, radio and magazines. Besides that a few of our productions are even nominated for different music prices and awards in The Netherlands and beyond.
