SINOPSIS:
Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell), es un minero enviado durante tres años a la base Selene en la Luna con la misión de extraer recursos para intentar paliar la crisis que está sufriendo la Tierra con sus suministros energéticos. Su única compañía será la AI (Inteligencia Artificial), el ordenador que controla la base (voz de Kevin Spacey). El film se centra en las dos semanas antes de que abandonde la base para volver a casa, momento en el que Sam comienza a ver, oír y a sentir cosas extrañas. Además, durante un accidente en una rutinaria extracción de gas descubre que Lunar, la compañía que le ha contratado, tiene sus propios planes para reemplazarlo y que el nuevo sustituto es inquietantemente familiar.
