(I've also added TIME's cover of Glenn to the cover art embed. There's a viral video out there showing Glenn using Vicks VapoRub to get tears flowing for a picture. It's caused quite a stir over Glenn's authenticity. You want the behind the scenes story? -- TIME's photographers wanted a cover that captured Glenn at this moment inside the pop culture. Well, he cries on TV a lot. So, the photographers thought a cry-baby cover might go over well. In the end, TIME chose the "raspberry" cover.





Glenn's detractors were quick to point to the staging of the cover photo and assail his credibility. The crybaby we've seen on TV was candid. To caricature that (TIME was trying to poke a little good-natured fun at his foibles) for a magazine story obviously requires some staging.





Now...Glenn's public religiosity...that worries me somewhat lately. Is it just me or is Glenn beginning to sound a tad like the crazies you can hear all over shortwave?)
