Trama
Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale nel campo di concentramento di Treblinka si verifica una fuga di prigionieri e il comandante del campo di Sobibor, nella Polonia orientale, giura che nel suo una cosa simile non avverrà mai. Gli ebrei prigionieri del campo sanno di essere destinati a morte certa e che i soldati tedeschi per ogni prigioniero fuggito ne uccidono uno rimasto. L'unica soluzione possibile è che tutti e 600 i prigionieri fuggano, ma l'impresa è tutt'altro che semplice: non è possibile scavare cunicoli, né eludere le guardie; tantomeno gli ebrei stessi non vogliono essere costretti ad uccidere per fuggire, per non diventare come i loro oppressori...
