Dark City, Texas. Een vreselijke bandiet, genaamd Jim Parasijt runt een illegale whiskeystokerij. Parasijt wil de grootste worden en heeft daarom
een magisch poeder ontwikkeld dat iedereen kan verkleinen. De lokale Texas Rangers, onder leiding van de dappere Ranger Tom, proberen Parasijt te
stoppen, maar worden in de val gelokt. Tom en zijn Rangers worden verkleind en in whiskeyflessen gestopt. In een ontsnappingspoging komt de fles
waarin Ranger Tom zit in een krat terecht dat wordt verscheept naar België en komt zo in handen van Lambik, die een krat whiskey aangesmeerd krijgt
van Theofiel Boomerang. Suske, Wiske, Tante Sidonia, Lambik, Jerom en professor Barabas krijgen het verhaal te horen en besluiten Ranger Tom te helpen.
Barabas zal proberen Ranger Tom weer te vergroten en de rest reist af naar Dark City om daar Jim Parasijt tegen te houden.
