Stephen Sommers har instrueret et væld af kendte skuespillere i actionfilmen om en gruppe supersoldaters kamp mod den onde organisationen Cobra.





Fra den egyptiske ørken til dybt under polarindlandsisen bruger G.I. Joe elitestyrken det nyeste overvågningsudstyr og militære isenkram til at bekæmpe den korrupte våbenhandler Destro.





Samtidig vokser truslen fra den mystiske Cobra-organisation, der bringer verden på kanten af kaos.
