Eines Tages fällt im Schatten des Fujiyama ein UFO aus heiterem Himmel und verwandelt die in der Umgebung zahlreich herum liegenden Leichen in blutgierige Moderzombies. Mehrere zufällig in der Nähe befindliche Leute, darunter eine übende Armee-Einheit, ein paar in der Abrechnung begriffene Yakuza und das Fototeam eines Sexmagazins, geraten ins Visier der lebenden Toten und werden partiell infiziert. In einer einsamen Hütte sammelt sich bald ein bunt gemischtes Grüppchen zum gemeinsamen Überlebenskampf.
