Nun aber steckt Morty in existenziellen Nöten, sein jüngster Film liegt auf Eis, und die Geier kreisen ums Lebenswerk, um es für 8 Dollar pro Pfund Zelluloid aufzukaufen. Unterstützung kommt von Finemans erwachsener Tochter und seinen treusten Mitarbeitern. Gemeinsam versucht man, eine Fineman-Retrospektive auf einem namhaften Festival zu organisieren.
