TRAMA (Italiano)





Basato su un manga di Hideshi Hino e diretto dal mangaka stesso, il successivo episodio della serie Guinea Pig Za ginipiggu 4: Manhoru no naka no ningyo (1988), vede come protagonista un artista che tenta di superare il trauma provocato dalla recente morte della moglie.

Un giorno, mentre percorre le fogne sotto la strade di Okinawa, incrocia una sirena. Nel vederla, si rende conto di averla conosciuta in precedenza, da bambino, quando al posto della fognatura c'era un fiume. L'uomo decide di fermarsi per dipingere un ritratto della sirena, ma dopo breve tempo lei inizia a piangere di dolore; così l'artista si accorge delle strane ferite sul corpo della donna.

Probabilmente è stata nella fogna per così tanto tempo che il suo corpo è stato infettato dall'ambiente malsano. L'artista porta la creatura a casa sua e dopo un breve periodo le ferite peggiorano ed iniziano a sanguinare. L'artista usa il sangue della creatura per disegnarle un ritratto, ma le sue condizioni peggiorano e in breve tempo muore.

An artist finds and rescues a mermaid in a sewer. He takes her home with him and she develops sores all over her body that begin to pustulate and bleed. He uses what oozes from her sores to paint her portrait. When he can no longer handle it anymore he breaks down and dismembers her body.
