TRAMA

The Vampire Diaries è una serie televisiva basata sull'omonima serie di libri scritti da L.J. Smith, realizzata per la CW Television.
Quattro mesi dopo il tragico incidente automobilistico che ha ucciso i suoi genitori la 17enne Elena Gilbert e il fratello di 15 anni Jeremy stanno cercando di affrontare il dolore e andare avanti con le loro vite. Elena è sempre stata bella, popolare coinvolta nelle attività scolastiche e con molti amici ma adesso deve cercare di nascondere la sua sofferenza al mondo. Quando comincia l'anno scolastico Elena e i suoi amici rimangono affascinati dal misterioso e bellissimo nuovo studente, Stefan Salvatore. Stefan ed Elena sono immediatamente attratti l'uno dall'altra e Elena non ha assolutamente idea che il ragazzo sia un vampiro centenario che cerca di vivere in pace tra gli esseri umani mentre suo fratello Damon è l'incarnazione della violenza e della brutalità dei vampiri. I due vampiri, uno buono e l'altro cattivo sono in guerra per l'anima di Elena e dei suoi amici, della sua famiglia e di tutti gli abitanti della piccola città di Mystic Falls in Virginia.
