The starting plot mirrors our own turbulent economic times as Lex Luthor capitalizes on the peoples' misery and gets elected President of the United States. Soon after, we discover that he uses propaganda and his own personal vendetta against Superman to put a $1 Billion bounty on his head. This attracts a motley crew of villains and former superheroes, who have now teamed up against Superman/Batman because their of their now-elected President's orders. Batman comes to Superman's aide as well as discovering Luthor's hidden agenda to claiming power.





The action escalates and we see an amazing blend of 2D animation and CG graphics, which was the bright spot in this movie for me. The original voice talent of Batman (Kevin Conroy), Superman (Tim Daly), and Luthor (Clancy Brown) was a great treat for those who love the Batman/Superman adventures animated series. Even Allison Mack (Smallville) makes a cameo as Powergirl. The plot is reserved for those under 13 years of age, but the graphic action sequences and language definitely gives this movie a PG-13 rating.





This movie was also overwhelmingly short (only 67 mins) without the original scores of Superman or Batman from their respective animated series. Nevertheless, the score they created was a good substitution. If I were younger (I'm in my late 20s now) I would've gotten a kick outta this movie, but because of the lack of an original plot (the main story line is a rip-off of other movies) and the shortness of the movie, I'm forced to give it a 7/10. However, the action, score, and voice talent will definitely not leave you disappointed in this good adventure movie
