Il mangler è un enorme marchingegno che funziona come stiratrice di indumenti in una lavanderia industriale. E' alimentata da operaie sempre più sfinite dall'incessante lavoro e vessate dal padrone, uno storpio mezzo cieco. Ad un certo punto nei pressi dell'infernale macchinario cominciano ad accadere degli incidenti mortali. Un poliziotto comincia una sua personale indagine su quelle morti ed arriva ad una sconcertante conclusione...
