Imagine a world coloured by ice and fire, carved by hurricane force winds, weighted by glaciers, carpeted by wildlife perfectly adapted to freezing conditions and winters of perpetual darkness: a world essentially inhospitable to man, still largely unexplored. It is the White Continent... Antarctica.

Imagine now a film that captures this untameable place that combines state-of-the-art High Definition technology with award-winning filmmaking skills: an exceptional documentary and a musical odyssey - the perfect Antarctic DVD souvenir.

Featuring the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia Island and the Falkland Islands, Antarctica Dreaming documents all the major Antarctic and sub-Antarctic animals and their life-cycles over an entire season, and captures the varying climatic and ice conditions from wild white blizzards to fire red sunsets reflected in a glassy sea. Some of the fascinating creatures in the film include:

The DVD features a unique narration On/Off function whereby viewers can watch the program as a narrated documentary, or as a relaxing audio visual experience with natural sounds and an uplifting sound score, both presented on Dolby Digital sound. Antarctica Dreaming is the combined vision of Emmy Award winning cinematographer, David Hannan, and independent documentary filmmaker and Antarctic voyager, Toni Houston. The program was created with High Definition cameras and editing facilities supplied by ProCam Australia and is released by DVD International on the HDscape label. Music compositions are by Jacob Round
