Play Misty For Me (1971)





This Hitchcockian-style thriller marks the directorial debut of Clint Eastwood


It is one of the original stalker-movies and predates Fatal Attraction etc


A lecherous radio DJ gets repeated requests to play ''Misty'' by an obsessed female fan.


Eventually he meets up with her and after a one-night stand he thinks she`s just another


notch on his bedpost, but far from being the casual lover he expected her to be she turns 


out to be the hag from hell





This film was also one of the first films(other than a musical) to use a song as a background


to a scene.The scene was a romantic one and Clint Eastwood chose the hauntingly beautiful
