These are the msi installers for the new Windows Live Messenger.
The old messenger doesn't work anymore, and it's impossible to automatically update it on XP x64. With these files, you will be able to install the new version anyway.
How I got them:
- Try to download the normal web setup from download.live.com
- Cancel it, and click "Try again", this will actually give you the full offline installer instead
- Open it with CFF Explorer (from NTCore), go to Resource Editor
- Find the right resource - the name is a couple of bytes down the stream
- Save it
- Extract as if it were a .cab file (just do Open Archive with 7zip)
- It will have just 1 msi file inside, save it
- Repeat the last 4 steps for every Live program that you want
