I tear it up in this mix.  For two hours, I build up it up, I tear it down and I build it up again and keep tearing it down from the beginning to the very end.  I bring that sick mid 1990s to early 2000s NYC Underground Club Energy but with today’s tracks.  You want a mix to move the crowd.  You want a mix to rattle your speakers.  You want a mix to move planets.  Maybe not planets…  Mountains.  Let’s go with mountains.  The warnings have already been issued.  Now it’s time…  It’s time!  Are you ready to take the journey with Flow?  Are ready to rock out with your cock out?  Many questions to be answered yet only one answer will ever do.


Like life, all mixers have good days and bad days.  This mix was a good day, a really good day.  But I still go about my journey in search of the perfect mix.  Not every mix is going to be a masterpiece but this mix was pretty damn close for me.  This was almost the mix I mixed straight through without any mixer’s block.  Took me 2 sittings because I was unsure how to end the mix.  I tried capturing the spirit of a great night of partying but the Flow way, of course.  If you’re looking for a set to turn up the bass to, dance, feel and touch the energy then this is the mix of all mixes.  Once you hear that beat drop, you’re feelin it or your not.  There are your mixed sets to drift off in, your fast tempo sets to jump to and then you have this mix for that perfect beat.  128 BPMs to me is the perfect tempo for dancing.  Not so slow to chill dance to yet not so fast that you feel like jumpstyle dancing.  Just right so you can actually dance to and not push you into a sweat frenzy.


I say a mix can only be as good as the tracks played.  The way a director can only enhance the writing.  The way a mixer can only enhance the music.  I always held back from mixing progressive house until I had a good number of tracks to mix.  I found a great number of tracks and then some.  I was like a kid in a candy store when listening to these tracks, saliva all dripping from the sides of mouth.  I knew these tracks would help me capture the spirit of the genre of music which I love and I hope it shines through.  I was able to showcase my storytelling through the whole mix and be more expressive with respect to the words and beats in these tracks.  One of my reasons for mixing is to make every individual track worldwide and ingrain them in every listener’s heart.  When you hear this mix, every time you hear each track, you will say Flow turned that track out.  These amazing artists, remixers, engineers, etc. have inspired me to mix deep into my heart and soul.
