Charlotte, la fille la plus populaire de l'école, engage Will comme manager de son groupe de rock. Cette jeune chanteuse/compositeur pleine de talent n'a en fait qu'une idée en tête: affronter Ben, son ex petit ami, lors de l'événement musical de l'année, le concours de rock Bandslam.
