Der vollbesetzte Ferienflieger EA-714 ist nach einer Karambolage mit einer kleinen Frachtmaschine manövrierunfähig und rast steuerlos direkt auf die Berliner Innenstadt zu. Es bleiben nur 90 Minuten bis zum Aufprall. Im Flugzeug und am Boden beginnt ein Kampf ums Überleben. Die Politiker wollen den Aufschlag in der Hauptstadt und eine daraus resultierende Katastrophe verhindern. Co-Pilot Niclas Sedlaczek und Flugkapitän Winkler fassen einen verzweifelten Plan die Steuerung im aufgerissenen Frachtraum zu reparieren. Nur Technik-Experte Ralf Moldau glaubt an den Plan von Flugkapitän Winkler, während sein Chef, der Airline-Manager Lars Jensen, die Maschine samt den Passagieren aufgeben will.
