3 Minute Wonder is a showcase for short films from new and upcoming directors on Channel4. They run each day Monday to Thursday, with the four films in the week linked thematically together. Microsoft Babies is a series of films exploring life in and around the Microsoft on-site creche in the company's UK headquarters in Reading. And asks the question: ow much does the cradle-to-grave ethos of the corporation effect their employees and their children? 





1. Induction


The first film asks is the on-site Microsoft nursery too much too soon for the toddlers, or an efficient solution to the corporate family's needs?





2. Duty


Vikki applies all the HR tricks she's learnt at work to help run her hyperactive household, making sure she never wastes a second.





3. Expertise


Gill who works in marketing, recalls her difficult maternity leave and her joy at returning to work when her daughter was three and a half months old.





4. Devotion


Lucy, a full-time Microsoft programmer and sole breadwinner of the family, is waiting for her husband to break into the independent film market, however long it takes.
