Per nove volte, tra il 2002 e il 2003 aerei americani atterrano in un vecchio e desueto aeroporto polacco, immerso in una foresta. A poca distanza un campo base americano: filo spinato ovunque, telecamere. La reporter viene fermata prima che riesca ad avvicinarsi, ma riesce a scoprire che la Polonia è un punto di partenza della rete di prigioni segrete costruite dagli Usa al di fuori del loro territorio per meglio combattere la guerra al terrorismo.
