Nun kommt am 13. August also der erste Horrorfilm in der neuen 3D-Technologie in unsere Kinos. Kein Wunder, ist das Genre doch besonders geeignet dafür: Gerade Schlitzerfilme zählen gerne auf schrille Schocks, und wenn diese dem Publikum dank der Dreidimensionalität quasi ins Gesicht springen, ist eine laute Reaktion im Kinosaal so gut wie garantiert.
«My Bloody Valentine», das Remake des kanadischen Kult-Schockers «Blutiger Valentinstag» von 1981, spielt denn auch ausgiebig mit solchen Effekten. Ein Gasmaske tragender Killer mordet sich mit einem Pickel durch ein Bergarbeiter-Städtchen. Die dunklen Gänge der Bergwerksminen erscheinen noch tiefer und somit bedrohlicher, und die Mordwaffe des unheimlichen Killers ist eh ideal für 3D-Schocks. Klar, dass dem Publikum auch schon mal ein abgerissener Unterkiefer entgegenfliegt.
Der mit den Jungstars Jensen Ackles, Jaime King und Kerr Smith besetzte Schocker unterhält somit bestens, ohne neue Impulse zu setzen. Denn nicht einmal die Dreidimensionalität ist im Schlitzerfilm neu: 1982 entstand «Und wieder ist Freitag der 13.» – freilich noch in der alten 3D-Technologie.
