Surpopulation des maisons d’arrêt, manque d’accès aux soins, violences entre détenus, le dernier rapport du comité européen contre la torture (décembre 2007) met encore une fois l’accent sur les conditions de détention dans les prisons françaises. Depuis deux ans, Envoyé spécial demande à filmer en maison d’arrêt mais cet accès est soumis à condition. Au printemps dernier, nous avons entamé une enquête sur trois destins de détenus, décédés dans l’intervalle d’un mois et demi dans des maisons d’arrêt différentes. Ces trois visages sont apparus à la rubrique faits divers dans l’écho de violence qui nous parvient de temps à autre des établissements pénitentiaires.


Trois histoires qui mettent en lumière les dysfonctionnements des prisons françaises.
