Miri und Zack sind seit Jahren befreundet, sie bewohnen gemeinsam ein Haus. Sie haben hohe Schulden und lauter unbezahlte Rechnungen, die in der Wohnung rumliegen. Auf einem Klassentreffen lernt Zack einen Schauspieler kennen, der mit Schwulen-Pornos sein Geld verdient. Aufgrund der finanziellen Probleme wird Zack und Miri noch am gleichen Abend, als sie zurück in ihrem Haus ankommen die Strom- und Wasserzufuhr abgestellt. Als sie kurz darauf in einer Bar sitzen und über ihre momentane Situation nachdenken, hat Zack die Idee, einen Porno zu drehen und ihn über das Internet zu verbreiten. Miri ist von diesem Vorschlag zunächst nicht überzeugt, willigt dann jedoch ein, eine Rolle in dem Film zu übernehmen.





Zack und Miri starten daraufhin ein Casting, und finden noch vier weitere Schauspieler, sowie einen Kameramann und einen Produzenten namens Delaney, welcher ein guter Freund von Zack ist, und mit ihm zusammen in einem Coffee-Shop arbeitet.
