Das Omen
Zur 6. Stunde des 6. Tages im 6. Monat des Jahres 1966 bringt Katherine Thorn, die Frau des US-amerikanischen
Botschafters in Rom, ein Kind zur Welt, das direkt nach der Geburt stirbt. Ihr Mann, Robert Thorn, wechselt auf
Anraten eines Geistlichen den Knaben mit einem eben erst geborenen Jungen aus, dessen Mutter bei der Geburt
gestorben ist. Er lässt seine Frau darüber aber in Unkenntnis. Der Austausch des toten Sohns mit dem Sohn der
toten Mutter ist bereits ein negatives Vorzeichen, ein schlechtes Omen. Das Kind erhält den Vornamen Damien…
