Here are two wonderful LPs (c.1960) featuring incomparable performances of the chamber music of Dvorak. And it's safe to say that these performances may be the best I've encountered of these particular works from any set of artists.





Having written the above doesn't leave much more to be said - except perhaps to quote the jacket notes for the Violin Sonata: "The violinist, Josef Suk, born 1929, is the grandson of the composer Josef Suk, and the great-grandson of Antonin Dvorak. It was not simply for this reason of course that he was chosen but because he is in fact one of the outstanding figures among present-day artists."
